So very nice to meet you. I’m Anna, mother of two lovely little people and wife to a wonderful man. green tea & toast is my blog.
It’s a blog that
started out as one thing and ended up another. It’s still a blog about big
dreams and ongoing passions, but it’s more than that now. It’s become a place
for my family. A little record of us right now.
And us right now is
all about change. Those bits and pieces and the ebb and flow. After one long,
amazing, seven-year adventure in the beautiful country of Australia, the
wonderful man and I made the difficult decision earlier this year to move back
to England. Thankfully, with family and friends close by, a home to create and
new places to explore, we’re loving our British life and all four of us are
slowly settling in day by day.
The little people feature here most of the time. Oliver Samson is our three-year-old dynamo. He’s
a gorgeous boy with a big personality that tests and inspires me daily.
Lila Clementine is
our pretty little poppet. She’s a dream. A smiley, giggly little dream. She
came into this world in September 2011 and has been the most perfect addition
to our family.
Then there’s the
wonderful man. Paul. We've been together for a decade and have
achieved so much together in that time. I couldn’t have done it without
him.
And me? Well, I left my twenties behind in Sydney.
They were an absolute ball. I used to be a PR girl by trade, but now I can mostly be found at home with my children. When I'm not with them I run my own small business teaching antenatal and postnatal classes and have a big passion for babies and birth. I’m also a hoarder of books, a big fan of food and a
lover of yoga. Sometimes I craft, I’d shop more if I could and I can’t get
through the day without Instagram. I'm a collector of vintage and love interiors, but am still working on
that dream house, photography is my new hobby. I have lots of those. As I’m
sure you’ll find out.
I love being here at green tea & toast. I hope you
do too.
With love and tea,
Anna x

Hi, great to see your blog, good luck! I am a huge fan of children's literature & illustration, so love your idea, and you are far more eloquent than me. I have compiled a large (and growing) collection of beautiful books for my children, but secretly want to keep many of them for myself... Please visit us in England and I will share them with you!
ReplyDeleteLisa x
Looking forward to the children's book reviews anna, and love the site xxx
ReplyDelete@LAA - thanks for your comment! Sounds like you have a great collection of books. Would love to check them out one day!
ReplyDelete@anna b - thanks for the feedback! The first book review will be up soon, you'll have to come back and check it out :)
What a beautiful introduction Anna, very pleased to have found your brand new space here, on a bit of a blog hop :o) Look forward to following along with your exciting adventures.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, your babies are gorgeous... all 3 of them! :o)
Thanks for your lovely comment! Blog hops are dangerously addictive aren't they?! And crazy how many good ones there are out there. I'll look forward to hopping over to your blog in a minute to check it out your boys, bet they're gorgeous too :)
DeleteI LOVE this!
ReplyDeleteWRITE THAT BOOK MAMA!
P.S trying to follow your blog, but I can't find the follower's link?
Cherie xoxoxox
Thanks for your lovely message Cherie! Glad you like the little challenge I've set myself.
DeleteAs for the following thing, not sure why it's not showing at your end - the ' google friends connect' box is on the left side at the bottom on my blog and a couple of people have joined in the last day, so must be working on some computers. Let me know if you still can't see it and I'll try and get to the bottom of it. Talk soon xx
Hi Anna! Your babies are adorable, and blogging is way better than TV :-) I'm with Cherie, I can't see your Follow button either.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for your comment Lisa. Blogging is definitely better than TV! Annoyingly my follow button was working and disappeared again this morning after I was fiddling around with things. Will hopefully get it up and working again next week. Hope you'll stop by again and join up another time :) Have a good weekend x
DeleteYour children are adorable Anna! I really look forward to seeing how your writing comes along.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad we didn't get Foxtel when we moved recently, so I couldn't be tempted by another show with Phil and Kirstie.
I know - I'm a shocker with those types of programmes. Luckily this whole blogging/writing this has kept me away from the tv. But now I'm on the computer more than ever. And then was given an iPad by hubby today! Social media usage will be going through the roof in this house now! Thanks so much for all your comments today. x
DeleteI love this! Such a beautiful intro. Mines still a work in progress, but I'll eventually get one up. Your two babes are beauties. So adorable!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to hear more about this book...when I started teaching at uni {didn't finish tho} I had children's literature as my major. Love it.
xo
How did I miss your comment Lauren?! I hope to be reading your 'about' section some time soon. xx
DeleteHi, I've just popped across after you stumbled across my blog and left me a comment. I love that you are hoping to write children's books, that has always been one f those things I'd like to do, although I don't thnk I'll ever do it.
ReplyDeleteHi Lucy - thanks so much for coming by and commenting. I've really been enjoying your blog since I found it. I'm still plugging away at the children's book thing - who knows where it will take me! x
DeleteAnna ....oh what a lovely blog you have, look forward to popping by in the future, thanks for the comment
