A very quiet
post-Christmas weekend.
The children played with new toys, rode new bikes, made junk models, dressed-up and thoroughly enjoyed being at home. And we pottered about, re-organising corners of our home, finishing jobs, getting things in order for the new year.
We also had a very special friend to stay for the night –
someone I met at Uni but who also lived in Sydney at the same time as us. She was there from the day we arrived to the day we left. And she’s still
there. It was lovely to see her. Although it really made us both miss
all that is lovely about Australia and everyone in it. We will be back one day.
So like I said, a quiet, easy
start to the weekends of 2013, but a lovely one all the same.
What did you get up to?

Beautiful photos Anna. They get better and better every week. xxx
ReplyDeleteThanks Janine! x

ReplyDeleteThanks Kim, it was pretty lovely. Hope yours was too x
DeleteI love Christmas, but there is something so refreshing about a brand new calender! You're photos are just lovely, looks like you have two very content little ones :)
ReplyDeleteYes, you're so right. And they have been pretty content this week, which is nice for a change! x
DeleteHappy New Year Anna!
ReplyDeleteI love each and every one of your pictures - it was a fairly quiet one here too. Not including the kids getting all excited and quite jumpy.
Here's to 2013

Thanks Nina, really appreciate your comments about my photos. Still so much to learn though. Hope you have a great week x
DeleteLovely photos. I think our weekend looked a lot like yours - lots of new toys were played with. We were in get ready for the new school term mode; clearing out, sorting, washing, tidying and the obligatory Sunday night kid's hair wash.

Happy New Year! - and happy to find your blog (through little-sleep)
ReplyDeletethat box car is genius.
We spent a quiet weekend - with a sick kiddo, we weren't up for anything too intellectually taxing so re-watched the Matrix (still SO good, Keanu SO pretty) and X-Men First Class (Fassbender: see Keanu above). And refused to take down the Christmas decorations. I mean, I'm ready for a new year too, but...I'm just a sucker for the twinkly lights.
(I finally took them down yesterday, just a day late, so I'm not the perpetual decorations crazy lady just yet;)
